dimer example running failure

I have compiled a vtst code with VASP5.2. when I run dimer example (H/Ir) for the test, I got the following error message from out.

"The IMAGES tag should not be set for this implementation of the dimer method."

At the same time I do see some output from vtst in OUTCAR, and it stopped there.

Anyone can point out where is compilation going wrong?
