I and many others have tried to alert the team to the credit-systems short-comings, but as as long as the work is done, they don't realy give a hoot.

Same machine, nothing changing, and no wonder people are leaving eOn for other projects ...

Yeah, it's when the needs of the project conflict with how Boinc runs. To be honest it was better before eOn went Boinc and was a seperate project. The need for a fast turn-around of WUs is not really compatible with Boinc's set-up.

At least you gave it a try and are, maybe, wiser for the expeience.

You're bringing up points that have been put to the project team before. Others have asked the same questions and not much has happened. To be honest, the only way I know is to use the "no new tasks" command on the Boinc Manager, if you want to run other Boinc projects too and be certain of eOn not ...

Counter-intuitively, it is actually the times when the server stability is rockiest that the most progress is being made. In this case, we are getting numbers for a paper which rely on single clean calculations. This allows for a benchmark which can be compared to the super computers at the ...

I've come to the conclusion that the team is turning off the servers every 6 hours to save money. Is that correct or is there another reason for this stop and start with the work servers?

The points system is weird at eon, it takes a while to adjust to new users and new types of work

It will readjust after you've returned some work - follow your completed work on your profile page

It's been like that for a long time. The uppdating of the stats seem to occur at different speeds. I look normally at the page with the highest amount as that is the most up to date.

... and it's down again - can someone shovel a litle more work into the servers, please?

We seem to be back up and running now :)
