Re: Server issues?
Is it possible to change the number of tasks downloaded from 4 to (number of cores+2) or to 8? When a task is finished there's still a few minutes of cpu idle while waiting for the server connection.
Papers
Hi there!
With the current simulations going on do you guys expect to write a paper? Could you guys advance a little more about the theme? I really appreciate to read the papers you write. I've been a follower of the project since the beginning.

Re: Import of stats
Old stats were based on number of workunits done independently of the time and size of them but BOINC credit system is not. How will you incorporate the old stats into the new one? Maybe by just setting on BOINC a wu one point.

Re: Server issues?
Right now the workunits generator can't handle the needs. I have lots of idle times on all my cores. Why not put the Henkelman Group Clusters generating workunits?

chill,
As I stated before someone needs to explain how the client interacts with the server. This upload issue Paladin* is talking about always was eon issue from long time ago. eOn is that kind of project that needs permanent internet connection and increases bandwidth and slowdowns internet ...

Re: Server issues?
graeme,
You need to explain here how eon works (interaction between server and clients).
Is the following description still valid (despite wrong links)?
The EON project, as the name suggests, is trying to simulate atomistic systems over long time scales.
The time scale problem is a major ...

Is the client code portable to CUDA? eon windows binaries are 32 bits, what about a 64-bit version?
During this transition time was any paper written? If so please post it here, thank you.
