Re: Server issues?

I have not received any workunits in several days. I did have one that was stuck in uploading. As was suggested earlier in this thread, I reset the project, then updated. Is the problem on my end, or are there no workunits? When I do a manual update, the messages say that the scheduler list is bein...

Re: GPU computation

The new errors. What is it wrong SVN Rev 640th without my extensions. I wouldn't try to test your client the way you are doing it. It probably doesn't work because has not been built with the boinc library (by running "BOINC=1 make" in the client directory). The client also supports being...

Thanks for your understanding.

Re: Disk Space Requirements

I had this same problem, had 300Mb free but eOn wouldnt download any tasks because it was asking for 1Gb of free space. I made room and it only wanted 7Mb. I have lowered the disk space requirement to 50Mb per wu. Out of curiosity how are you running your boinc client such that you only have 300Mb ...

We now have anonymous read-only access to our subversion repository for eon. The url is http://theory.cm.utexas.edu/svn/eon. It can be checked out like so:

Re: Server issues?

I would be nice if you could manage to do it :) Just as information, I'm getting 4 wu's on the compurers with 8 cores... So you are going in the right direction ! Edit: I'm actually getting 4 wu's for all of my computers (1-8 cores) So the amount of wu's being sent out is still related to the numbe...

Re: Server issues?

When you are running normally, it would be nice if you could change the limitation of work to at least 2 wu's/core. With only 1/core the computers run out of work before they are allowed to ask for new wu's Much of our work is time sensitive and we want all of our workunits that we make to be worke...

Re: Cannot get more than 1 task...

This comes when I have one task running. Each task takes at most 2.5 minutes and I never get errors in computation, but I'm used to running 4 at once and somehow I can't now. I'm sure this is just a snag in one of the feeder servers or something, but just letting you know in case it got overlooked....

Re: News

The server is back up. The upgrade took a little longer than expected but we are now running an up to date operating system and have a much larger raid array! Right now only one small simulation is running, but there will be more and longer workunits on the way.

I have changed the description to state that it only works for OS X 10.6.

We are upgrading the hardware on our main server soon and we might be out of work for the next day or so. Everything should be working fine by the 20th.

Re: 64 Bit Windows Application

There is no real benefit, for our application, to have a 64 bit version. We do this for linux simply for compatibility reasons. There are no compatibility problems with running a 32 bit windows program on a 64 bit windows installation.
